For #11 - If someone was impersonating them, what would friends / family ask or do to tell the difference?

Nix - The question to ask would be the name of the first man he ever kissed. (Not the first person. The distinction is important.) The follow up question would be who he blamed for his death. It's also worth noting that Osorin'd be able to identify Nix by the twin scars on his collarbone, both of which are in the exact shape of his teeth. No one outside of Osorin's court is aware of them.

Caelan - It could go either way. Most loved ones - specifically his cousins and mother - would likely have him correctly identify the components of a medicinal salve/potion using only his roots/make him identify impurities in a water source - also with his roots - or request that he shapeshift into his Kirin aspect. (Obviously, without disclosing what his second form is.) With Rhys, it'd be significantly easier. He'd only have to ask for him to communicate something nonverbally, as Caelan's telepathy is not public knowledge.

Lysias - The person in question would need to ask about the significance of his last name, as well as the person who gave it to him. It'd be even easier for Felwydd; they're the only two (outside of the party,) to have ever seen his tattoo.

Aenan - This is slightly more complex. If members of the Order of the Unicorn were attempting to verify his identity, they'd start with his palm. Because he's a recruiter for the order (a fact that no one outside of the order is aware of, unless they're earmarked for recruitment,) he has access to the order's base within the Helm and Cloak. To access it, he has to twist the horn of the unicorn statue in the main foyer, which in turn temporarily brands his skin. The brand is invisible, unless revealed via a specific phrase; at which point, a tiny spiral horn, etched in gold, will appear. For both Tamlin and Emerys, the absence of the moonstone earring in the lobe of his left ear would likely give it away, as well.

Alternatively, asking him about what he did within seconds of meeting Tamlin would work, as well.

Emerys - This one is a short answer, but the nuance and personal significance of this one makes up for it. Either asking the person impersonating him why he isn't wearing the locket, or asking them to explain the significance of Tamlin's habit of brushing his fingers across his ribs whenever he's about to do something reckless/foolish.

Nyra - It would be relatively easy to determine visually. She has a scar on the bridge of her nose that is very faint, and silver in color. Beyond that, asking her which of them is the oldest - Emerys or herself - would be a good starting point.

Sahar - Quizzing him about how many strings a specific instrument has, or asking what profession he wanted before he became a luthier.

For #16: What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?

Nix - It's predominantly one specific person: his father. This is less frequent than it used to be, now that he's openly defied his father's directive where Osorin is considered. Beyond that, callous people, those who undermine his intelligence simply because he chose to serve in the military, and anyone obsessed with vengeance over mercy, the majority of the time. He frequently argues with the dead, as their voices are always louder than anyone else's inside his head.

Caelan - Caelan is more down to earth and pragmatic than argumentative. However, he certainly continues certain conversations in his head, at times. He usually argues with people who poach, people who involve themselves in the exotic animal trade (dragons, kelpies, etc.,) people who are selfish. Anyone who assumes that being fem makes him less capable/weaker, and those who treat him differently once they discover that he's more forest than elf.

Lysias - People who speak without thinking, people who act before they think. Corrupt people in power, those who refuse to see the worth/value in the people they rule. Anyone who feels that rules are a suggestion, rather than a mandate for conduct.

Emerys - He doesn't usually waste his time arguing. If a person can't be persuaded or reasoned with, he considers it a waste of time. However, he'd likely argue - and passionately - with anyone who spoke against the Summer Court, and certainly anyone who required that he sacrifice his personal freedom.

Aenan - Anyone who is intolerant, or who wholeheartedly supports oppression/subjugation or injustice. Anyone who judges people on their appearance, or assumes that lacking magical or combat prowess means a person has no value. He'd also argue with anyone who was needlessly cruel.

Nyra - Nyra is likely to hold extensive arguments with anyone who tries to undercut her and the prices she charges for her mercenary work, by virtue of being a woman. She doesn't tolerate inequality, bigotry, or sexism, and has no patience for self-sacrificing behavior or general idiocy.

Sahar - Also predominantly his father, who is domineering and controlling. He resents being told how to live his life/what's best for him. He'd also argue with anyone prone to dismissing his idealistic hopes/views as unrealistic or naive.

For #28 - What do they tell people they want? What do they actually want?

Nix - He often tells Osorin that he has no other desire or ambition beyond continuing to serve as a captain in Avellyn's militia. He does not actually want this. His entire worth has been measured by the fact that he is a status symbol and a living weapon for his father - his only worth, in other words, is his potential to serve and eventually die for his kingdom. He'd much rather become a tailor or a poet, and would like to be a spy/outreach ambassador to assist local communities and kingdoms.

Caelan - For Rhys to retire, and live a quiet, normal life. He does want this, sincerely; he's eager to show Rhys that there's an entire world to explore, and life beyond their village/forest in general. He wants him to find his spark for exploration/adventure for the sake of it again.

Lysias - To serve the crown, and uphold Felwydd's goals, visions, and laws. To serve as an extension of his will and voice, while being a pillar of support and protection as needed. This is his long term goal, and also something he deeply desires/genuinely wants.

Aenan - He often says that he doesn't want anything, other than for the people he cares about to be happy. While this is true, he'd also like to travel/adventure with his partners, but doesn't bring it up, as he knows he'd be a liability/doesn't have much he can contribute.

Emerys - Personal freedom, and to continue to serve the Summer Court. In reality, he only desires his personal freedom, and to accompany Tamlin on his various adventures.

Nyra - Either renown or infamy. She'd settle for the occasional rush and someone waiting for her at home when she returned from hunting quarry.

Sahar - To help people. While true, he specifically wants to join an order of knights/become a paladin, in order to dedicate his life to the cause of helping who he can.

For #42 - If invited to a TED Talk, what topic would they present on? What would the title of their presentation be?

Nix - What to do in the aftermath of birthing a deity from a sucking chest wound. The title would be 'Confronting The Omnipotent.'

Caelan - Best practices for repopulating a forest and encouraging the removal of invasive species and diseases after a devasting magical calamity/ disease razes everything you've ever known. The title would be: 'Your Greed is Killing The Fucking Earth.'

Lysias - Surviving other planes, and embodying your grief. The title would easily be 'How to Fake Your Own Death and Grieve.'

Aenan - How to launch your career as a master mixologist by creating an entirely new magical wine. The title would be 'Turning Wine into Gold.'

Emerys - Fey courts and politics. The title would likely be 'How to pull a Faerie King.'

Nyra - How to track, identify, and ultimately kill legendary magical creatures for fun and profit. The title would be 'For Guts and Glory.'

Sahar - Various techniques for carving the perfect stringed instrument. 'Finding Your Perfect Note' would be the title.

the bit about grrm confirming alicent being the one to send jaehaera and maelor to safety (not otto, not the small council it was alicents initiative!!) made me realize they gave this aspect to rhaenyra. rhaenyra sends her kids (joff aegon and viserys) to the vale in the show whereas it was jace's idea to send joff there after dragonstone is inflitrated by arryk. jace is also the one who arranges for aegon and viserys to go across the narrow sea. not only that but jace having the sense to split them up rather than having 3 very valuable hostages for the greens in one place which is what rhaenyra did by sending them to the vale. like whats to stop the greens from descending on the vale and jeyne arryn being forced to hand them over because she ultimately doesn't want to scarifice her people??

like given what rhaenyra has been through (losing 2 children) i understand why the idea of sending her kids away might not have entered her head even if it was for their safety.

You’re absolutely right, I never thought about that before. They took a lot away from Jace’s character this season. His time in the north, gaining allies, the dragonseeds, protecting his brothers, stepping up when Rhaenyra was covering from a traumatic birth and the deaths of two children and it’s a shame because he will likely die at the start of season 3 so we won’t get to see anymore growth from him.

It’s getting a little bit annoying that they’ll strip Alicent of any good moments like saving her grandchildren by making the decision to send them away and then giving Rhaenyra that plot. They did it with Rhaenyra visiting Viserys with her toddlers when that scene was helaena visiting him with hers in the book. Alicent and Helaenas connection to the twins and even anything positive about Alicent as a mother has been stripped away.

This Ej spends like a year in the woods completely unhinged and barely human. Basically gets known as the town cryptid cuz people go missing and there are sightings and freaky bloody remains etc etc. every now and again he has moments of clarity. Eventually stitched up jennys mask and wears it bc he kinda sorta is not fond of the whole demon thing.

Fast forward a year he starts regaining more human consciousness but he still needs to eat human organs to survive. in the end he was just a guy who wanted to be a doctor and help people . very jaded and empty and guilty. Also still has demon tendencies

Main Characters' reaction to someone loved's deadly wounds

-Jeff The Killer

If such a situation happens, Jeff will definitely lose his mind, which has already a little left. Let alone killing one of the few people in the world he considers worthy of caring for, no one has the right to open the slightest wound except himself. Even he has no right to such deep wounds.

He calmly holds the person standing in front of him and puts his ears against his chest so that he can hear his heartbeat. The moment he hears that faint heartbeat sound, he relaxes and tries to take the injured person on his arms and take them to the nearest person with medical knowledge. And along the way, he keeps saying that it's forbidden for that person to die.

He just doesn't want to lose another person he cares about. He doesn't want to feel another ghost's cold hands strangling him on his neck. And he's going to blame himself no matter what the situation is. Until there is news about that person, he will argue with the people who are taking care of them and gain even more hate, but as long as that person is with him, there is no problem.

Possible persons that he will give this reaction: Liu, Clockwork, Sally, Nina(?)

-Clockwork

She'll just freeze up because she can't understand what's going on. Although she is normally quite a cold-blooded person, she forgets what she should do in a panic because the sight in front of her causes cracks in her frozen heart.

However, she soon recovers herself and runs to that person. Without asking any questions or caring if their heart is still beating, she takes that person to the nearest medical doctor, even though Jack is her preference. She's so angry that she has to get it out of somewhere. But since her stress will dominate her, she waits by their side until the moment they're awake and leaves when they seem to open their eyes. If there is a funeral, she will not attend it and will pay as visit as soon as she gathers courage which will take weeks for her.

The grip of the past once again squeezes her heart. And this time in a more painful way than ever. It's all her fault for not being able to protect the one she loves. No. It's all the fault of the people who love her for making them an important person to her. No matter how painful it is, she will isolate herself because it is the only way she believes they will not be harmed any more.

- Hoodie

As someone who has already faced the death of his loved ones and almost himself many times, he should be used to such situations, but he's not. No matter how many times it happens, he hasn't gotten used to this painful feeling, and he won't get used to it either. But because he is considered experienced, he knows what he has to do.

First, he will check the pulse of that person, and if it is still beating, he goes to one of the medics while applying some pressure to their wound. Since he called all three of them by phone or transceiver and informed them on the way, it would give them an opportunity to prepare. Along the way, he also tries to convince that person that there is no problem.

Although he wants to be with his business partner until they wake up, he first needs to give a report about what he saw. If that person wakes up, he will take a more careful attitude towards them in the tasks they go out together, because the memories that come before his eyes at any moment are already too painful. If they do not wake up, he visits their grave regularly, even though he buries a part of himself with him every time, he is likely to cry at the first one.

He goes out often because he can't bear to stand next to that person while they're being treated, but he returns to that environment because he feels guilty, and such a vicious cycle occurs. He stands without saying a word, chain-smoking in the hope of reducing his tension. Tim is ready to do everything for the person takes care of his business partner's needs without opposing it for the first time.

In fact, although he looks very calm on the outside during the entire process, there is a literally devastating storm inside. His emotions are constantly at war, and when no one is looking, he can't control himself and makes fists out of his hands. Since he knows that he absolutely cannot bear to lose another person he will remember, he is ready to do anything so that the angel of death does not knock on that person's door. Even if it means destroying himself in the process.

The moment Toby sees that sight, his tics triggered by elements such as fear and adrenaline will increase incredibly. Because of the look he sees in front of him, some of his past memories will come back before his eyes, and he will be even worse off, almost unable to do anything. If he is not alone, his partner does the work of taking care of that person, but if he is alone, he tries to collect himself.

Although he hates himself for staying so still, it's not easy for him to shake off the trauma of both the past and the present. As soon as he pulls himself together, he puts pressure on the wounds, calls one of the other people he trusts the most and lets them know. If no one answers the phone or radio call, he will screw everything and call the ambulance.

He can't lose another person. Another person he cares about can't close their eyes forever because of his incompetence. They're not allowed to leave him alone, so that person has to heal no matter what. And if they get well- no, when they get well Toby will never leave after them again. Because he can't bear to see another face he remembers dimly in the darkness that preys on his nightmares.

-Eyeless Jack

Since he knows medicine and took care of people he has loved before, he should not worry about this situation. Okay, but then why do his hands shake every time he presses on the bleeding area? Why can't he keep his cool attitude? Why, why, why? He actually knows the reason for this. He knows, but he doesn't want to admit it to himself. He doesn't want to admit that he has a weakness others can use against him.

He tries to take care of their wound on his own and tries to do something using things like bandages, oxygenated water, sewing thread, which he usually carries in his backpack while walking in the forest, but when he realizes that this is not enough, he swears and takes that person on his back. He takes them on his back towards his own infirmary.

He'll let Ann and Smiley know, but he doesn't know why he's calling since he won't let them do anything when they come to his cabin. Eventually, Ann takes control and tells Jack to rest. Jack also waits for the result in a waiting chair with black tears pouring from his eyes. The most intense emotion he feels after sadness is disappointment and fear.

-Jane The Killer

When an injured person comes across, of course, she wants to help them, but when she sees who this person is, she suddenly pauses. She freezes inside her mind and can't do anything. She can only watch the landscape with tears in her eyes until she regains the ability to think again.

And when she becomes able to do something, she calls the ambulance, not caring about her money and things that should remain secret for government's sake. She can't lose the one she loves and she needs to save them. So she presses on the deepest wounds of that person until the ambulance arrives, and tries to keep her voice calm, stroking their hair. It's very important for that person to know that they will be saved, it's maybe for the injured person, maybe for Jane.

She can't afford to lose another person. Having become so strong, she cannot accept returning to the age of thirteen, when she is incapable of protecting her loved ones again. She needed to be a stronger person, she needed to be able to help her loved ones. She couldn't have devoted her whole life to nothing, she couldn't have. Whoever dares to harm the one she loves will taste the bitterest death at her hands.

Cody is normally someone who is quite overcome by his emotions, and he is calm in the face of this incident in a way that he does not understand either. In fact, he feels as if someone else has taken over his body. He does a little first aid work with the help of his medical knowledge, which he knows more or less, and the painkillers he carries with him, as well as oxygenated water. He also informs the ambulance before starting to administer first aid.

Although he cares a lot about this person, he should disappear when the ambulance arrives. But during this process, he holds the person's hand and tells them to stay calm, that he will always watch over them even if he is not with them, and when they get better, he will help them escape. Since he sucks at this kind of calming stuff, he tries to do his best, but he proceeds with a solution-oriented approach.

He has never lost someone he loves because there was no one who really cared about him before. These feelings are very alien to him and he hates it. He is ready to dislocate his heart to destroy the painful feeling he feels in his heart. As long as se doesn't have to experience the terrible pain he feels all the time for others. Because he doesn't think he can stay as strong as others on this topic.

-Nina The Killer

She knows the pain of this because she has experienced a big loss before. She killed her parents when Zalgo controlled her to cause difficulty for Slenderman, and she suffered incredibly great emotional pain when she regained control just the moment where she plunged a knife into the heart of her dearest little brother Chris, and she still does. As a nurse who takes it upon herself to wipe the invisible bloodstains on her hands, she has knowledge of first aid, but when she sees this sight, she definitely can't help being shocked. Due to the job of a nurse, she has seen much worse, but none of them was someone she loved so much.

She knows what she has to do. She carries a spare bandage in her bag at all times and is able to wrap some of the wounds and give first aid. She tries to tear off pieces of her own clothes and treats the wounds with missing cloth, she also wants to call the hospital where she works. But later she remembers that this will put her own career at risk, and she calls anyway. An ambulance comes and picks up her injured loved one, while Nina is crying the whole way.

When they arrive at the hospital, her friends won't let her take care of them. She tries to be there for them but no matter what she does, her colleagues who really value her as a friend keep her away. She's absolutely incredibly remorseful, and she knows that when this person gets out, they'll be angry that she didn't take them to Jack or Ann or even Smiley. And her own career was ruined because she brought a killer and cried for them, but she doesn't care. As long as she doesn't lose anyone again. As long as the memory bracelet on her arm doesn't add a new bead.

Possible persons that she will give this reaction: Kate, Clockwork, Toby, Jeff, Sally

-Kate The Chaser

Kate has a lot of experience in this situation. She was also very seriously injured herself and worried other people. Nevertheless, she is angry with herself for not being able to stop her heart from being filled with fear. She runs to that person, puts her unmasked face close to their face and tries to reassure them that they will be fine. After calling all the medics and informing them, she applies a small-scale bandage operation with her clothes.

After deciding that they are better, she takes that person on her arms, regardless of their weight, and takes them to the nearest medical person. If they say that they can't do anything, that it's too late, she threatens them, and if they don't agree again, she'll leave the forest and call the ambulance. She will not allow even the person she allowed herself to love to die. No matter what the cost is.

And during the whole process of taking care of this wound, she gives scary looks and stands next to this person. She's not allowed to sleep or rest until she's sure that they're okay. She had lost her own life before, but thanks to this person, she has a life again, and she will not allow them to lose their own. Even if that person dies, Slenderman will bring them back to life because he wants his best proxy not to disrupt his duties, but Kate knows that this is not the same thing, so she is still trying to make that person live. She's not ready to lose that person and she never will be.

Nyra was such a compelling antagonist bc she started out so mysterious and clever and sinister and smart, and part of what I love about her character arc is that in some ways she kept that edge, that sharp mind, and in many other ways she completely devolved as she wrapped herself further in blind hatred and anger. Like at the beginning she wanted power and control over owls, of course, and by the end it felt like that came in a close second to "I GOTTA DESTROY THE GUARDIANS AND MY STUPID TRAITOR SON !!1!11!!!1!" and I LOVE that I LOVE IT so much! Ik I'm missing some nuance and detail here but its 4 am and I cant be assed to open a book rn

Anyways I was so glad when the antagonist role shifted from Kludd onto Nyra bc Kludd was very "violence is the question and the answer is yes" and Nyra was very "let's play mind games and THEN commit acts of unspeakable violence" and that spoke to me. It still speaks to me. I support women's wrongs. I love Nyra. I want her dead. I want to study her under a microscope. I want nothing to do with her. 10/10

|In my Au I like to believe Slenderman is just an older guy who adopted a couple kids(a lot, actually) because he was lonely and his house is too big for just himself.Also!It takes place in the early 2000s|

- He doesn’t live in a manison,Just a really big farm house in the middle of nowhere in Kansas City

- they are all human including Slenderman

- His brothers suggested adopting the kids,he didn’t think they would bring so much chaos though

- He wasn’t to sure at first though because he knew these kids were coming from bad situations and homes.

- He adopted Ej first.He adopted him in the 90s from Arlington Texas when he was 16.

- he wasn’t too sure how to handle Ej.He seemed so cold and distant and had a weird wicked look on his face even though he didn’t have a reason too

- learned to love and take care of him though

- You know that saying where it’s like you can’t just have one?you have to get it a friend? That’s exactly what happened

- He adopted Masky next.The caseworker was unsure and practically begged him to not adopt him because of how violent he was

- Masky relaxed after being adopted,Kinda.

- the first year or so he was in out or Juvie but settled in perfectly fine with Ej and Slender.

- After Ej’s accident everyone was alil scared of him but warmed up quickly when he was still himself(yes his origin still exists in this universe)

It’s funny, Nyra sometimes thinks, how she’s faced monsters and dragons and gods, yet it took her years to just sit before a mirror naked. She knows how to find humor in various things now. She always has, in hindsight. She simply did not have the means to make her humor funny to everyone else before. 

Her body is not something she finds funny, though. Her story is far from a fucking joke and it’s all there, on her skin, in every bump, line and burn. She buries her face in her hands and laughs. Her life plays before her eyes in all its violent glory, as if she’s dying on the hill of… Manors in Divinity’s Reach, in her own private bathroom, in an estate with her own chapel, and she’s taking her last breaths, wheezing and coughing like an old guy with a lung disease. 

“Take care of yourselves, children,” she croaks aloud, imagining her 12 cats somewhere in the manor, and she knows Aurene can hear her, wherever she is right now. “Your grandpa will pray to Dwayna for you..” 

The image sends her shaking from laughter on the edge of the bathtub, one foot in the fresh smelling water, and she’s the only thing echoing in the whole room and the sound reflects back. She stops laughing one wrong move later as she’s falling in the tub, ass hitting the edge at a weird angle. Suddenly she finds herself doing a half-split above water, with what’s likely a sad, angry bruise on her ass and her shoulders slump forward. 

“For fuck’s sake,” Nyra cackles, straightening herself again. “Wouldn’t be the first ass bruise.” She tilts her body and head to look. The throbbing place looks red. “Yeah, that’s gonna bruise. Great job, Nyra. Great job indeed.”

Admittedly, she does look good like this. The thought startles her. It’s been ages since she last thought of herself as attractive. She knows she is, but it’s different when you hear it from other people and when you think that yourself. She watches the shape and width of her hips, the deceptive softness of her belly, the sheer size of her thighs. Someone should fuck me, she thinks. Hands on my hips, as fast or slow as I want to. 

She sees the curly hairs on the unscarred parts of her legs. When she stands normally again, she follows the line of the scars, from her feet and above, to the messy hairs between her legs that extend to her belly and point toward the scar that stayed after Balthazar severed her spine years ago. She died that day. But she isn’t dead. All she has now is a gnarly, faded line that’s mirrored on her lower back. She isn't flinching. Part of her wants to touch it. 

So she does. She rubs a circle on one random spot, hyperfocused on the intercession between the normal flesh of her fingers and her burned knuckles. It feels like a scar. It feels like death. She can’t say she likes it, but it’s a part of her, the same way her eyes are. 

She takes a deep breath. Her hand stops moving and rests above her cunt, a shiny, white nail in the midst of brown, coarse hair. She raises her gaze to look above that still, to the sagginess and scars on her breasts, the burns on her arms. Her hair, wavy and in disarray, falls on her back. Not half bad, she decides with a strange thrill and pressure under her skin. Not half bad at all.

Why the fuck should she care if she has scars? She refuses to let her rational mind answer that. This sense of power feels better than anything it could ever provide. It feels as if she has Trahearne on his knees before her, looking up with his one eye, awaiting the chance to just get his mouth on her. 

She digs her nails - manicured and firm, longer than she usually wears them - into the soft skin on the side of her cunt. The scratch feels exquisite, and her fingers inch closer and closer to her wetness yet again. Only sound Nyra makes is a groan at the back of her throat as she slides down to the floor, breathless. She then dares to look at the mirror again. 

The face that stares back is red like a ripe tomato, the fingers sticky and wet before her eyes. She’s shaking a little with the aftershocks, still trying to catch her breath. The scars are still there, glaring from the reflection, but somehow, it doesn’t matter like it used to. The bathroom is quiet and large, too large for Nyra and her reflection only, yet she feels like she’s the gravity in the room, sitting naked on the floor, radiant in the afterglow of an orgasm. 

It’s been a while since he last thought of herself as radiant.
